A powerful earthquake struck the coastal region of Cuba on Tuesday. According to a report by the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.8 on the Richter scale.
The earthquake occurred at 12:28 local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was located about 49 kilometers from Maisi, the easternmost municipality of Cuba, and 93 kilometers east of Guantanamo.
The depth of the earthquake was measured at 11.6 kilometers. Several aftershocks were felt in the area after the main earthquake, with the strongest one having a magnitude of 4.7.

The earthquake caused panic among the people, and many people came out of their houses.
According to initial reports, there were no reports of any loss of life or property damage in the incident.
The US Tsunami Warning Center has clarified that there is no tsunami threat after the earthquake and no warning has been issued.
