ਮਿਲਕਫੈੱਡ ਪੰਜਾਬ (Milkfed Punjab) ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦੁੱਧ ਦੀ ਖਰੀਦ ਕੀਮਤ ਵਿੱਚ 10 ਤੋਂ 15 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਕਿਲੋ ਫੈਟ ਦੇ ਵਾਧੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਹੁਣ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਲਈ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਘੋਸ਼ਣਾਵਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। 2026-27 ਦੇ ਬਜਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗੀ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਲਈ ₹15,377 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਭਾਰੀ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਵਿੱਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਹਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੀਮਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਬਜਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸਲੀ ਵਿਭਿੰਨਤਾ, ਪਾਣੀ ਬਚਾਅ, ਪਰਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ (AI) ਉੱਤੇ ਖਾਸ ਧਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਰਗੇ ਡੇਅਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤੀ ਹਾਟਸਪਾਟ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਲਾਭ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Following Milkfed Punjab's recent hike of ₹10 to ₹15 per kg fat in milk procurement prices, the Bhagwant Singh Mann government has made even bigger announcements for the agriculture sector. A massive ₹15,377 crore has been allocated for agriculture and allied sectors in the 2026-27 budget. Presented by Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, the budget places a strong focus on crop diversification, water conservation, stubble management, and modern technology (AI). These policies are set to directly benefit dairy and farming hotspot regions like Ludhiana.

ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ 'AI ਕ੍ਰਾਂਤੀ' ਤਹਿਤ ਹੌਰਟੀਕਲਚਰ (ਬਾਗਬਾਨੀ) ਖੇਤਰ ਨੂੰ 3.56 ਲੱਖ ਹੈਕਟੇਅਰ ਤੋਂ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ 16 ਲੱਖ ਹੈਕਟੇਅਰ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਟਾਰਗੇਟ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਰੀ, ਉੱਚ-ਕੁਆਲਿਟੀ ਬੀਜ, ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ (Infrastructure) ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰਕੀਟਿੰਗ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Under the 'AI Kranti' initiative, the government aims to expand the horticulture area from 3.56 lakh hectares to 16 lakh hectares. Massive investments are being made in modern machinery, high-quality seeds, infrastructure, and marketing networks.
ਨਕਦ ਇਨਾਮ: ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਬਚਤ ਲਈ DSR (ਝੋਨੇ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਬਿਜਾਈ) ਤਕਨੀਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ₹1,500 ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਏਕੜ ਦਾ ਨਕਦ ਇਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Cash Reward: To promote water-saving DSR (Direct Seeded Rice) technology, farmers are being rewarded with ₹1,500 per acre.
ਇਸ ਵਿਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਝੋਨੇ ਦੀ ਰੋਪਣੀ (ਕੱਦੂ ਕਰਨ) ਵਾਲੀ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਵਿਧੀ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਡਿੱਗਦਾ ਭੂਗਰਭੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਪੱਧਰ (Groundwater level) ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
This eliminates the traditional, water-intensive puddling method for transplanting paddy, helping to save Punjab's rapidly depleting groundwater reserves.
- ਵੱਡਾ ਬਜਟ: ਪਰਾਲੀ ਸਾੜਨ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਬਜਟ ਵਿੱਚ ₹600 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਰਾਖਵੇਂ ਰੱਖੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ (ਜਦਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ₹402 ਕਰੋੜ ਖਰਚ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ)।
- ਪੰਚਾਇਤਾਂ ਲਈ: ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਪੰਚਾਇਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਰੀ (ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੁਪਰ ਸੀਡਰ ਆਦਿ) 'ਤੇ 80% ਸਬਸਿਡੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
- ਵਿਅਕਤੀਗਤ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ: ਇਕੱਲੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਰੀ 'ਤੇ 50% ਸਬਸਿਡੀ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
- ਨਤੀਜਾ: ਇਸਦੇ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਖਰੀਫ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਸਾੜਨ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 53% ਕਮੀ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
- Bigger Budget: ₹600 crore has been allocated specifically for stubble management to stop farm fires (up from ₹402 crore spent last year).
- For Panchayats: Gram Panchayats are receiving a massive 80% subsidy on stubble management machinery like Super Seeders.
- For Individual Farmers: Individual farmers can avail a 50% subsidy on the same equipment.
- Impact: These efforts resulted in a staggering 53% drop in stubble burning cases during the last Kharif season.

To make farming future-ready, the Punjab government has partnered with IIT Ropar and South Korea to promote smart farming and AI (Artificial Intelligence) based agriculture.
