ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਨੇ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਸਹਾਇਕ ਸਬ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਹਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ 20 ਹਜਾਰ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ।
