ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਬਾਗਬਾਨੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਰਾਜ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਏਆਈਐਫ ਸੰਮੇਲਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਸਮਾਗ਼ਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਗਬਾਨੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੋਹਿੰਦਰ ਭਗਤ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਬਾਗਬਾਨੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੋਹਿੰਦਰ ਭਗਤ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਏ.ਆਈ.ਐਫ. ਤਹਿਤ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚਾ ਫੰਡ ਸਕੀਮ ਤਹਿਤ ਫਰਵਰੀ-2026 ਤੱਕ 32,823 ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਲਈ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ 7,597 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਕਰਜ਼ੇ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ 7,132 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਤਹਿਤ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰਲੇ ਜ਼ਿਲਿ੍ਹਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 8 ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ (3,650 ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ), ਸੰਗਰੂਰ (3,155), ਬਠਿੰਡਾ (3,049), ਪਟਿਆਲਾ (2,970), ਫਾਜ਼ਿਲਕਾ (2,844), ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮੁਕਤਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ (2,246), ਮੋਗਾ (1,758) ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ (1,680) ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।
Punjab's Department of Horticulture organized a state-level AIF conference and award ceremony in Chandigarh, where Horticulture Minister Mohinder Bhagat was the chief guest. During the ceremony, Minister Bhagat stated that Punjab has the highest number of projects approved under the AIF scheme in the country. He added that as of February 2026, 32,823 projects have been approved in the state, with a total loan amount of Rs 7,597 crore and Rs 7,132 crore disbursed to beneficiaries.
He further mentioned that out of the top-performing districts in the country, eight are from Punjab. These include Ludhiana (3,650 projects), Sangrur (3,155), Bathinda (3,049), Patiala (2,970), Fazilka (2,844), Sri Muktsar Sahib (2,246), Moga (1,758), and Firozpur (1,680).

ਬਾਗਬਾਨੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੋਹਿੰਦਰ ਭਗਤ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਏਆਈਐਫ ਸਕੀਮ ਛੋਟੇ ਤੇ ਮੱਧਮ ਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਲਾਭਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਕੀਮ ਤਹਿਤ ਬਾਗਬਾਨੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਫੁੱਲਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਮਦਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਪਾਨ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਕੋਆਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਏਜੰਸੀ, ਜੀਕਾ, ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਲਗਭਗ 1300 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਲਾਗਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਅਗਲੇ 10 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ ’ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਿਤਾਬਚਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਬਾਗਬਾਨੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਥਿੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਗਬਾਨੀ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਮਨੀਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਸਕੀਮ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਵਿਸਥਾਰਪੂਰਵਕ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
Horticulture Minister Mohinder Bhagat stated that the AIF scheme is proving to be very beneficial for small and medium-sized farmers. Under this scheme, projects worth approximately Rs 1300 crore have been approved with the assistance of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to promote the horticulture sector and increase farmers' income, which will be initiated over the next 10 years.
A booklet on success stories was also released during the event. Prior to this, the Administrative Secretary of the Department of Horticulture, Arshdeep Singh Thind, and Director of Horticulture, Manish Kumar, also shared detailed information related to the scheme.
